Wayfinding is not only placing signage and icons. It has the ability to transform a place to become meaningful. The system that we proposed sees wayfinding as an important tool in place making. This is manifested through the usage of unique identity and character of its system such as the Zero Carbon initiatives, larger-than-life scale, the 5-minutes destination and the tectonic qualities of its materials and forms.
Besides for its value for money design, the wayfinding system must be easy to install and maintain, and a snap to use for residence, daily users (office workers, commuters) and visitors (shoppers, tourist, hotel guests). Wayfinding is about reducing complexity in spatial problem solving when people try to navigate inside a building. Bad wayfinding systems are problematic for venues because of the time that users spent on searching for the destination they want to reach inside that venue. In buildings that have bad wayfinding systems, visitors may become so frustrated with the building that they will never come back again.
